  1. The Green Shadow A Picaroon Story –  Herman Landon 1932 – Pub: Cassell – A very Rare First Edition, Publishers’ Original Binding, the ‘Cheap Edition’ of this work. Published as a part of the Cassell’s Shilling Novels. It is missing its original DJ  and the cloth boards are very darkened and faded so the original design is has been worn away. Worn and bumped, pages well tanned but none the less solid. Owners inscription inside front board. £25

This is a very rare printing of Scott’s Work in this covering by Gall & Inglis Undated appears to be first edition C.1850’s. Hardback original gilt blocked decoration on green cloth, 624 pages with gilt edges. Inscribed on front inner page dated 1870 There is Cracking to gutters, with exposed netting, some foxing and tanning. bumping etc  to boards £225

Undated appears to be first edition C.1850’s. Hardback original gilt blocked decoration on green cloth,          560 pages with gilt edges. Paper back 21cm x 28cm – signed by Jackie Waller to Arthur Kent dated 1954. Pictorial cover which has darkened with small nibbles. There are pencil correction at the bottom of pages. This was the Pseudonym of UK military officer & war correspondent (from 1894) and author Lionel James. This is a very rare copy and a lovely Antiquarian book. HB boards covered in navy blue fabric Illustrated pictorial and gilt lettering. There is a bookplate in the name of John Raymond Warren. In good condition with a little bumping to spine ends. Some tanning & foxing to pages. £150
